The Winery is a beautifully quirky urban wine bar in the heart of Surry Hills with a leafy laneway and terrace for drinking in the sunshine, a bar and restaurant for dining under the fairy lights.

Our neighborhood, Surry Hills, has evolved from a traditional fashion district to a vibrant area known for its diverse shopping, dining, and cultural offerings, and we are proud to be part of it.
We first opened our doors in 2009 but the heritage-listed building in which we are located was constructed in 1889. The building once housed Sydney Water Workshop, and its raw structure is still evident, with the high ceilings exposing original features.
Our building is split between an upstairs dining area, a main bar on the ground floor and an outside garden area to gather for a glass and some great tunes.
Our Euro-inspired menu for romantic and relaxed dining. Our playful all-day menu goes perfectly with a glass of vino and can be enjoyed in a variety of dining areas, including Sydney’s only wine laneway.

The wine list is one of the most considered on Crown, offers over 30 meticulously selected wines by the glass, and keeping the lo-fi crowd on side with South Australia’s Alpha Box & Dice and Unico Zelo, while classic labels like Tempus Two from New South Wales are present and accounted for.
Spritz jugs and cocktails are on hand for long afternoon sessions.
